The disturbing rise in racism, hatred, bigotry, and violence around the world has troubled us all. It’s not a reflection of who we are, and it can never be tolerated. We stand with all of you who condemn these cowardly acts.
Proudly based in Metro Vancouver, where we celebrate one of the most diverse, multicultural places in the world, Solespire is proud to join The Honourable Janet Austin, OBC, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia in support of #DifferentTogether, at home in #OurBC.
Race-based violence and discrimination has no place in our province, or our country. We pledge to uphold the Canadian value of diversity being our source of strength, as part of Canada’s inclusive culture of unity, which opposes racism and hatred in all of its forms.
“Canada’s success as a diverse and inclusive nation didn’t happen by accident, and won’t continue without effort,” stated Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Canada House in London, United Kingdom, during a 2015 address.
“Compassion, acceptance, and trust; diversity and inclusion—these are the things that have made Canada strong and free. Not just in principle, but in practice.”
“Let us not close our hearts to those in need, nor our minds to the knowledge that better is always possible.”
Please join us in sharing the message of #DifferentTogether, as we encourage everyone to use their platforms and privilege to promote systemic change that works towards achieving a racially just society. At Solespire, we will continue working diligently towards that goal.
